Disclaimer & Risk
Affiliate disclosure
Bitstairs is an independent OKX affiliate partner, not OKX itself and not an official OKX website. Join links on this site — including the invite code OKAT52 — are affiliate links, and they're marked as such with rel="sponsored" in the page markup for anyone checking. If you register through them, we may earn a referral commission from OKX. Using the code may also reduce your own trading fees, depending on OKX's terms at the time you sign up; the exact rate is whatever OKX's own page shows you at registration, not a number we control or guarantee.
This commission relationship doesn't change what we publish. We don't accept payment to write favorably about OKX beyond the standard affiliate arrangement. Where a guide says something is broken, slow, or confusing about OKX's own flow, that assessment isn't softened by the referral relationship.
This site's guides are primarily about OKX, but we also maintain one Chinese-language Binance sign-up guide. The join link on that page uses our invite code BNB528 and is an affiliate link on the same basis as our OKX links — if you register through it, we may earn a referral commission from Binance. The same standards above apply to it: we don't soften an assessment because of the referral relationship, and any fee-discount figure quoted is whatever Binance's own page shows at the time you sign up, not a number we control or guarantee.
Not financial advice
Nothing on this site is investment, trading, tax, or legal advice. Cryptocurrency prices are volatile, and trading — spot or otherwise — carries real risk of loss, including the possibility of losing more than you intend to risk on leveraged products. We don't recommend for or against any trade, token, or strategy, and we don't predict returns. Decide what you do with your own money based on your own research and risk tolerance, not on anything published here.
This applies equally to anything that reads like encouragement to sign up. Getting an account set up correctly is a separate question from whether trading is right for you at all, and this site only addresses the former.
Not an official OKX resource
OKX doesn't review, endorse, or officially publish the content on this site. Where we describe OKX's own rules, fees, or supported regions, we've checked them against OKX's official pages as of the "last checked" date on each guide — but OKX can and does change these without notice. If anything here conflicts with what you see on OKX's own site or app, treat OKX's version as current. When we can't verify a specific number against an official source, we say so on the page rather than printing a figure we can't stand behind.
Fee rebates aren't guaranteed at a fixed rate
Any percentage mentioned on this site describing a fee discount — including "up to 20% less in trading fees" — is a maximum figure tied to OKX's own referral program as it currently stands. It isn't a fixed or permanent rate, isn't guaranteed by Bitstairs, and can change if OKX changes its referral terms. Check the rate shown on OKX's own sign-up screen for the number that applies to you, since that's the figure that actually governs your account.
Risk specific to using an invite code
Entering OKAT52 at sign-up doesn't change how the exchange itself works, what it costs you beyond the fee terms OKX sets, or what risks apply to trading on it. It's purely a referral mechanism between this site and OKX's affiliate program. It also can't be added retroactively to an account created without it — that's a limitation of how OKX's referral system works, not something specific to this site.
Accuracy and errors
We re-check guides against live OKX screens, but screens change and mistakes happen. If you find something on this site that's outdated or wrong, tell us at [email protected] and we'll fix it. We'd rather correct a page than leave something misleading up because nobody flagged it.
